Arkansas Methodist Medical Center has been with the Paragould Regional Chamber of Commerce for 15+ years! Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould has provided progressive, compassionate healthcare to residents throughout Northeast Arkansas and Southeast Missouri for nearly 70 years. Their beginning dates back to the old Dickson Memorial Hospital that opened its doors in 1907. In 1941, the non-profit Community Hospital Corporation was formed and construction of a new hospital began. However, World War II intervened and the hospital was not completed until 1949. The 71-bed Community Methodist Hospital was formally dedicated on October 16, 1949. In response to the growing needs of the community, CMH became Arkansas Methodist Hospital in 1981 and then Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in 2005. In 2011, AMMC completed and opened its first phase of a continuing care retirement community, Chateau on the Ridge Assisted Living. Then in 2012 and 2013, Arkansas Methodist partnered with St. Bernards to open Paragould Wound Healing as well as the Paragould Medical Park. This time next year, a new medical office building will be completed on the campus and used to house eight physicians. AMMC is 129-bed non-profit hospital that employs more than 600 people thus offering a community impact of more than $37.9 Million in wages and benefits. Last year alone, AMMC served 115,900 people and provided more than $9 Million uncompensated patient care.
