Community leaders gathered on June 6, 2026 to celebrate the groundbreaking of downtown parking lot improvements that will enhance safety, accessibility, and the appearance of Downtown Paragould. The project includes resurfaced parking lots, upgraded lighting, and new landscaping, transforming areas that have long been affected by deteriorating pavement and large depressions. It also adds a new parking lot and splash pad in Downtown. The splash pad is made possible by a donation from the Grand River Dam Authority
Construction will begin immediately and is another step toward creating a more welcoming, attractive, and vibrant downtown for residents, visitors, and local businesses. The project is expected to last 120 days total and will be done in phases in an effort to keep parking open in Downtown during the project.
