Committees

Ambassador Committee:

The “official” greeters for the Chamber.  Represents membership at groundbreaking ceremonies, ribbon cuttings, open houses,  Business After Hours and other special events.


Banquet Committee:

Plans the annual Chamber Banquet held in March. The committee oversees everything from decorations to the silent auction and assists on the evening of the banquet.


Business Development Committee:

Assists existing business expansion in many ways. Through development seminars, the annual Shop Paragould campaign and Chamber Showcase, this group is focused on maintaining & growing Paragould businesses.


Career Expo Committee:

Ad hoc committee which serves to establish a connection between the workforce and the community and to provide opportunities for employment through a regional job fair held in the spring.


Education Committee:

Establishes projects and activities which foster and uphold the value of business and school interaction with the intent of better informing students of career choices and to provide positive role models through mentoring programs. The committee oversees Partners In Education and Arkansas Scholars.


Golf Tournament Committee:

This committee plans and organizes the two golf tournaments the Chamber hosts annually. The Chamber General Membership Tournament is held in April and the Industrial Appreciation Golf Tournament is held in October.


Transportation Committee:

This committee monitors state and federal issues and lobbies for improvements to major highways and other transportation projects that will enhance Greene County’s ability to compete in a global market.


Leadership Paragould Committee:

Consists of Leadership Paragould alumni and oversees the 12-month program designed to develop individuals to fill leadership roles in Greene County and surrounding areas.


Youth Leadership Committee:

Consists of Leadership Paragould Alumni and oversees the nine-month youth leadership program. Class participants are 10th graders from all schools in Greene County. Students are recommended by their counselors for participation in the program.
