Duties: The City Attorney acts as the legal advisor to the mayor, members of the city council, the police and fire departments, city clerk and city treasurer in interpreting city ordinances, resolutions, and statutes and in other matters arising out of the public office they hold. 

The City Attorney prosecutes all violations of city ordinances and state statutes within the city limits of Paragould, and prosecutes the city’s criminal docket in Paragould District Court, in addition to appeals to the circuit court of Greene County, Arkansas.
