Want to learn about woodworking? Want to learn some basics on creating woodworking items for the home? Are you wanting to build your own structure? This may be the class for you.
You will learn the purpose and use of many woodworking tools. Determine how to select the appropriate wood. Design and setup your workshop and workshop safety. Learn different woodworking joints and how to create them.
Demonstrations will be conducted in an outdoor mobile trailer on the theme of ‘Woodworking for the Homestead’ showing how to make saddle notches for a cabin, mortise and tenon joints for a timber framed structure, and board and batten siding.
Other tools on-hand for demonstrations will be a two-man cutting saw and a log.
